Free Middle Eastern music septet Karkhana weave a tapestry of astonishing contemporary music for Egyptian songstress Nadah El Shazly, following the release of the band’s four previous albums and El Shazly’s internationally-acclaimed debut 'Ahwar' (Nawa, 2017). The three tracks featured on Side AA of this split release were recorded during a residency at Inter Arts Center in Malmö, Sweden, where the band had been working on their forthcoming full-length release. El Shazly joined them as a guest musician during their composition and recording sessions.
